Leather Dining Room Chairs

Leather dining room chairs offer a touch of class to any dining room setting, but they also provide style, comfort, and unprecedented durability. Leather is superior to fabric in a number of ways: it does not tear or rip along seams easily, colors will not rub or fade, and it will not crack or peel. It is also comfortable, making it get only better with time. Leather ages much better than any other upholstery, and can easily be maintained for years of attractive, comfortable use.

When you start shopping, decide if you want top-grain or split leather. The surface of leather is called top grain. It is the strongest, most durable part of the hide, but is also suppler and softer than other types. It does not tear easily. Split layer is stiffer and less durable than top grain, and is mostly used for parts of furniture that aren't visible.

If you like the look of leather, but don't want the real thing, there are many alternatives to choose from. Microfiber has a soft, suede-like texture and is lightweight, durable, and moisture-resistant. Vinyl alternatives are often more affordable and can be a convincing visual alternative to, as well as more reasonably priced than, real leather.
